Man arrested while in the process of burglarizing jewelry store
On February 22, 2016 Lindenwold Police Officers were dispatched to Marquise Jewelry located on Gibbsboro Road for a report of an alarm activation. Upon arrival Officers found a basement window open and the light on inside. Just outside of the window, were several trays containing jewelry, stacked up. A male suspect then tried to exit from the window; but quickly retreated back into the basement when confronted by Officers. The suspect ignored the Officers orders to exit, but instead hid inside of the building.
A K-9 Team from Pine Hill Police Department arrived on location and Officers entered the building to search for the suspect. The K-9 quickly located the suspect hiding in the basement and the suspect was placed under arrest. The male was later identified as Raul A. Guardado, 20 year old male, from Lindenwold. The suspect was charged with Burglary, Theft, Resisting Arrest and Obstruction of Justice. He was remanded to Camden County Jail default of bail. The suspect was previously arrested by the Lindenwold Police Department in December 2015 at which time was charged with six counts of Burglary.
