MAIN St is now back open. DTE has completed temporary repairs in the area and Main St is back open in both directions.

DTE is on scene and has determined the safest way to fix the electrical hazard is to shut the power off so their workers can work effectively and safely. Therefore, most of downtown Whitmore Lake will be without power later on for an extended period of time.

The Northfield Township Police Department advises you to AVOID Main St between Pine St and Jennings (at the railroad Tracks) due to a current hazardous issue.
An electrical hazard on Main St has closed the road and will require a detour of traffic for the next several hours. DTE has been called to scene and will be assessing the issue. It's unknown how long it will take for the issue to be safely resolved to allow traffic to open in the area.
Motorist should plan accordingly and seek an alternate route.
