Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is having a planned shutdown of its Weymouth Treatment Plant. Imported water will not be available Monday February 29th through Thursday March 10th. The District will move to Critical (Red) Alert, NO OUTDOOR IRRIGATION WILL BE PERMITTED and residents are encouraged to conserve indoor water use. “Red Alert” water conservation signs will be posted throughout the District. If this shutdown ends early, the District will notify customers through Nixle, the Crescenta Valley Facebook Page, and Nextdoor, and the “Orange Alert” will go back into effect, with outdoor watering allowed on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
As the shutdown begins on Monday February 29th , outdoor watering will be permitted on Sunday February 28th.
