Upcoming Storm System Expected to Impact the Bay Area.
A series of storm systems remain on track to impact the San Francisco Bay Area beginning late this week and persisting into next week. The strongest system is expected to arrive on Saturday, March 5th. Strong and gusty southerly winds (35 to 40 MPHS) will develop ahead of the approaching system by Saturday morning and persist into the evening hours. In addition, the heaviest rainfall rates (approximately 1.5 to 3 inches) will occur from Saturday afternoon and into early Sunday morning.
While a brief break in precipitation is expected early next week, another strong system to impact the region later in the week.
