The storm sirens were activated by the FD in response to a tornado warning from the NWS. More detail in the email.
The storm sirens were activated by the FD in response to a tornado warning from the NWS. More detail in the email. 
The storm sirens were activated by the Van FD in response to a posting on NWSChat at 1:08 PM. (see attached picture). Sirens were activated then NIXLE and Facebook messages sent out.
Even though the weather is being diligently watched, there is VERY LITTLE WARNING OF THESE RAPID STORMS. Please take steps to be prepared for servere weather.
