Full Notification

On or about April 1st the County Road project to stabilize Rivervale Road is expected to transition to phases 3 & 4. Please expect delays and plan routes accordingly.

PHASE 3
Phase 3 will consist of a closure of both work zones. No Traffic will be allowed in the work zones and will have to follow posted detours.
This Phase is expected to last approx. 1-2 days

PHASE 4
Phase 4 will consist of a complete closure of Rivervale Road from Piermont Avenue south to the front of the Town hall building. No Traffic will be allowed in the Southern work zone (Rivervale Road from Piermont Ave to Town Hall) and will have to follow posted detours. This phase will last approx. 1-2 months.


During phases 3 and 4 Rivervale Road north of Westwood Avenue will be closed and available to local traffic only, all other traffic must follow designated detours.

Northbound

Western Route - Westwood Avenue > Cedar Lane > Piermont Avenue>Ruckman Road>Prospect Avenue.Rivervale Road

Eastern Detour - Westwood Avenue>Washington Avenue>Old Tappan Road>Rivervale Road

Southbound

Western Route - Prospect Avenue>Ruckman Road>Piermont Avenue>Cedar Lane >Westwood Avenue >Rivervale Road

Eastern Detour - Rivervale Road>Old Tappan Road>Washington Avenue>Westwood Avenue

Upon completion of phase 3 and during phase 4 Southbound traffic ONLY on Rivervale Road will be allowed to flow from Old Tappan Road to Piermont Avenue. Southbound traffic will be required to follow the Southbound eastern detour from Piermont Avenue to continue to Rivervale Road.

During phases 3 and 4 Piermont Avenue will be closed to and available to local traffic only at Cedar Lane. There will be No Access to Rivervale Road from Piermont Avenue for Eastbound Traffic.
