Northern TPU make great CDS arrest

On March 9, 2016 at 9:00 AM, detectives from the Northern District Tactical Patrol Unit made a traffic stop on Church Street at 6th Street. The stop was for the operator not wearing a seatbelt. When the detectives made contact with the driver, they smelled marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A search of the driver and vehicle was conducted.
Detectives found 48 baggies of heroin, 19 vials of crack cocaine and 2 grams of heroin. The driver was arrested and the vehicle was seized, as was $672 that he had in his possession.
Suspect: Ruffin, Jerome Reese, 11/24/85, 2801 E Northern Pkwy, Baltimore
Possession & possession w/intent: heroin & crack cocaine; possession of marijuana, driving on suspended license.
Vehicle: 2000 Honda Accord 2 door.
