Dells Police receive impaired driving and seat-belt enforcement grant funding. Grant runs through September. 
The Wisconsin Dells Police Department is part of a traffic safety task force in Columbia County. Other members of the task force include Portage PD, Columbia County Sheriff's Dept, Lodi PD, Wyocena PD and Fall River PD.
Grants were approved for the task force for OWI and Seat-Belt enforcement. The grant runs from now through September. Departments in the task force will be deploying officers to focus on impaired driving and seat belt violators.
The goal of the task force is to reduce OWI and seat-belt violations by strict enforcement. During the next several months the task force agencies will be deploying grant shifts during the same days and hours to create a saturation enforcement effect throughout Columbia County.
