Residents in the Anacortes area have reported a number of false, scam phone calls from people reporting to be from the Internal Revenue Service. Remember, the Internal Revenue Service does not call people directly regarding their tax returns.

Do NOT give out any personal or banking information over the phone. These calls are SCAMS...hang up and do not share any information with the caller.
