The Northfield Township Police Department is advising that the bridge over US23 and Eight Mile Road will be closed for the next 3 months.
A traffic crash involving a semi truck on NB US23 and Eight Mile has caused significant bridge damage. Due to the severity in damage, MDOT engineers have determined that, in the interest of motorist safety, the brigde over US23 and Eight Mile remain closed until repairs can be made. This closure will require a detour of traffic for the next few months while repairs are being made.
Please plan accordingly and seek alternate routes until the bridge is back open.
