Flash Flood Watch in effect through Sunday afternoon. 
The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for our area effective now through Sunday afternoon. A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
Heavy rainfall is forecasted for the next three days. Heavy rainfall has the potential to cause flash flooding especially for locations near small creeks and streams. Previous rains have saturated soils in the areas under the Watch which will increase the amount of runoff generated and could cause flooding to occur more rapidly.
Sand and bags are available at two locations in Novato...the Department of Public Works Corporation Yard at the end of Davidson Drive and near the old theater at Hamilton. You will need to bring your own shovel.
