Deputies arrest a woman for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property

LOCATION: Ramirez Road / Old Highway 58, Barstow
SUSPECT: Kevin Lamb, 25 years old, resident of Barstow
SUMMARY:
On March 10, 2016 at 4:10 a.m., Deputies were conducting an investigation into a petty theft that just occurred. During the investigation, deputies observed a 2004 Jeep parked in a desert area near the crime scene. As Deputies drove closer to the vehicle, the driver, Kevin Lamb, sped off at a high rate of speed along off highway vehicle trails. Deputies searched the desert area and eventually located the Jeep rolled over in a ravine. Lamb exited the Jeep and was detained. Lamb sustained minor injuries from the rollover and was treated at Barstow Community Hospital.
Deputies contacted the registered owner of the Jeep and discovered the vehicle had been stolen. Lamb was arrested for vehicle theft and receiving known stolen property. Lamb was booked at the Barstow Jail with bail set at $50,000.
