The U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be conducting a training exercise in the area of the Bay Model and Marinship Park on Monday, March 14, 2016. The training exercise will take place between approximately 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. As part of the training, a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter will be landing in Marinship Park and then will hover over the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Dock for a short period of time.

The training will be regarding emergency response on the waterway and will entail the movement of personnel and equipment between the U.S. Coast Guard helicopter and vessels belonging the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

This is a routine training exercise between these two federal agencies and there are no public safety issues that the community needs to be aware of.
