Elkhart Man Arrested on Warrant, Possessing and Dealing Methamphetamine
(Allen County, IN)-A Elkhart County man was arrested this morning on an arrest warrant and for possession of methamphetamine and dealing methamphetamine following a traffic stop by an Indiana State Trooper.
According to Trooper Brad Shultz, this morning at about 10:40 a.m. he initiated a traffic stop on W Jefferson Blvd near Coventry Ln for an expired license plate on a blue Ford.
During the stop, Shultz made contact with the driver identified as 45 year old Raymond L. Berry. Shultz learned that Berry had been wanted on a probation violation out of Wells County. He was also found to have been in possession of approximately 15 grams of methamphetamine.
Berry was taken into custody and incarcerated in the Allen County Jail.
He is preliminarily charged with the following:
- Possession of Methamphetamine, Level 4 Felony
- Dealing Methamphetamine, Level 5 Felony
Wells County Warrant:
- Probation Violation on an Original Charge of Dealing Methamphetamine.
All Suspects Are Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty in a Court of Law
