Police Chief Will Johnson has a strong message for DWI offenders and those who try to get away 
"DWI's will NOT be tolerated in Arlington, nor will intentional ramming of our cars by suspects trying to flee. Our Officer was injured during this violent act when the suspect tried to disable her car by intentionally ramming her. Although injured during this crime, we are grateful our officer will be o.k."-Chief Johnson
Around 4:45 a.m. this morning, an officer tried to stop an intoxicated driver. The suspect fled and reached speeds on SH 360 in excess of 100 mph. As the suspect exited Six Flags Drive, he lost control and spun out onto the median. His truck ended up facing the patrol car.
The suspect then intentionally drove his truck towards the officer and rammed her patrol car to disable it. This caused extensive damage to the patrol car and pinned the officer inside. The officer went to a hospital and was treated and released. She is expected to be o.k.
The suspect fled after ramming the officer and was arrested by APD several hours later after he passed out in a relative's house in Fort Worth.
Bad guy is in jail for Aggravated Assault on a Public Servant and Evading Arrest.
