Residential Burglar Arrested
On March 11, 2016, at approximately 2:15 p.m., Los Gatos Monte Sereno Police Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person near Forest Hill/Anne Way in Los Gatos. A resident called to report seeing an unfamiliar subject walk to a neighbor’s home and knock on the door. After no answer at the door, the subject jumped the fence to the backyard. The resident watched as officers responded. Just prior to their arrival, the subject exited the backyard and walked away. Detectives in unmarked vehicles observed the subject get into his vehicle and conducted an enforcement stop. It was determined that the subject had cut the window screens at the victim residence, attempting to locate an unlocked window. He was arrested and booked at Main Jail.
Detectives are actively investigating other residential burglaries and conducting follow-up to determine if this subject is responsible for other criminal activity. His photo is not being released at this time, due to the ongoing investigation. The Los Gatos Monte Sereno Police Department appreciates the reporting party’s quick response to suspicious behavior, which resulted in the arrest of this burglar.
