Information from the Livermore Police Department
On the morning of 03-17-16, several school administrators at Granada High School received a communication that threatened the safety of students and staff at Granada High School. The school immediately went into its “shelter in place” protocol and the Livermore Police Department was notified. Livermore PD personnel arrived on campus and conducted a thorough search of the school, including the use of specialized units. Once the search of the school was completed, the “shelter in place” was lifted and the school resumed normal activities. LPD will have additional police staff on site at the school. There is no reason to believe that there is an imminent threat to the school, students, or staff. LPD was impressed with the way that school staff handled the incident, and how well the students did during the “shelter in place.”
