Two Saturday (3/19) Races to Affect Roswell Roads

Roswell, Ga. (March 17, 2016)—Roads in the City of Roswell will be affected by two separate races this Saturday, March 19.

Kiwanis Club of Historic Roswell Spring K Classic 5K and 10K
This race begins and ends at Sweet Apple Elementary School, and the route goes along Hardscrabble Rd., Chaffin Rd., King Rd., and Etris Rd. The 10K participants circle the route twice. For more information, visit http://www.roswellkiwanis.org/SpringKClassicRaceRoute.html.

7:30 a.m.—Etris Rd. is closed between Crabapple Rd. and Hardscrabble Rd.
7:40 a.m.— Hardscrabble Rd. westbound is closed, then the rest of the course is closed shortly thereafter.
7:45 a.m.—10K race begins.
8:00 a.m.—5K race begins.
10:00 a.m.—All roads reopen.


The Water Drop Dash 5K
This race follows a course along the Chattahoochee River on Willeo Rd. and Azalea Dr. and begins and ends at the Chattahoochee Nature Center. For more information, visit http://www.waterdropdash.com/water-drop-dash/race-information.

7:30 a.m.—Willeo Rd. will close between Azalea Dr. and Bywater trail.
8:00 a.m.—Race begins
8:00 a.m.—Azalea Rd. will close between SR9/Atlanta St. and Willeo Rd.
8:45 a.m.—Kids’ Fun Run begins.
9:00 a.m.— Azalea Dr. reopens.
9:30 a.m.— Race concludes and Willeo Rd. reopens.
