DATE OF RELEASE: March 22, 2016

As part of the I-10 freeway High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane widening project, Caltrans has fully closed the eastbound Pacific Avenue/West Covina Parkway off-ramp. The ramp closure started this week and will be in effect through November 2016. Motorists may experience significant delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes. In addition, Caltrans will be closing the following on and off-ramps:

Monday, March 21 through Thursday, March 24

EASTBOUND I-10
• 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Puente Avenue off-ramp, Azusa Avenue on-ramp, Vincent Avenue on- and off-ramps
• 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. – Puente Avenue, Vincent Avenue and Azusa Avenue on- and off-ramps
• 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Pacific Avenue/West Covina Parkway on-ramps
• 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. – Up to 2 lanes between Baldwin Park Boulevard and Citrus Street

WESTBOUND I-10
• 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Sunset Avenue off-ramp
• 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Vincent Avenue, Azusa Avenue, Puente Avenue on-ramps, Pacific Avenue/West Covina Parkway off-ramp
• 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. – Vincent Avenue, Pacific Avenue/West Covina Parkway off-ramp, Azusa Avenue, Puente Avenue on- and off-ramps
• 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. – Up to 2 lanes between Citrus Street and Baldwin Park Boulevard
• 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. - Sunset Avenue off-ramp

Ames Construction, Inc. is the contractor on this $193 million project, which will add an HOV lane in each direction of I-10 between Puente Avenue and Citrus Street. Detour signs will be posted to direct motorists. Anticipated completion is spring 2019.
