ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMS/TRAFFIC DETOURS
Good day all! Spring has sprung into a several road improvement programs throughout town.
On Monday 3/28/16, rain date Wednesday 3/30/16, between 7am and 5pm the Monmouth County Highway Department will be repaving Wall St in the area of St. Jerome church. Wall St will be CLOSED in both directions between Whalepond Road and Monmouth Road. Detours signs will be placed instructing drivers to use West Park Ave as the detour. Access to businesses and homes will be limited.
On Tuesday 3/29/16, Wednesday 3/30/16 and Thursday 3/31/16, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, the Borough of West Long Brand Road Improvement Program will have West Palmer Ave CLOSED between Monmouth Rd and Whalepond Rd. A DETOUR will be set up using Girard Ave.
Residents of Century Ave, Windsor Dr., Ridge Rd, Darien Dr, Danbury Ct., Beacon Ct., and the western half of West Palmer Ave. are asked to use Whalepond Rd for access to their homes. A Police Officer will be stationed in the area to assist. Residents of Alba Lane, Harbor Court and the eastern half of West Palmer Ave are asked to use Monmouth Rd to access their homes. A Police Officer will be stationed in the area to assist.
The WLB Road Improvement program will also be doing road improvements on Walnut Pl between Locust Ave and Forest St., after they complete West Palmer Ave, Officers will be present to control traffic
