State Trooper Finds Group with Their Own Cross to Bear
Waverly – (Morgan County) While on routine patrol, Trooper Dustin Starnes located a group with their own cross to carry walking towards Martinsville. The wooden cross weighing 80 pounds along with the Christian Flag accompanied them as they walked toward the Manna Mission.
Trooper Starnes brought them water to drink and checked on their safety as the group plans to arrive at the Manna Mission before nightfall.
“We just wanted to show our appreciation for the sacrifice made over 2000 years ago along with the sacrifices the Manna Mission makes on a daily basis for those in need” said one of the group members.
The Manna Mission has been around for more than 25 years and helps hundreds in Martinsville and across Morgan County. It has served as a rock for many struggling Hoosiers that Central Indiana people have come to count on during times of need. The mission helps struggling area folks by providing meals and the homeless a place to sleep.
