This morning just after 2:00 a.m., Indiana State Troopers responded to a single vehicle crash on I-70 EB at the 110 mm. (South Split)
Preliminary investigation revealed that Jeremy Dreher, 37, of Indianapolis was operating a 2009 Toyota Scion EB on I-70 at the I-65 south split at a high rate of speed. Dreher failed to negotiate the split, traveled straight off the interstate up the earth embankment, became airborne and struck a guard rail. Dreher was ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash. Dreher was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Marion County Coroner’s Office.
The investigation, including autopsy and toxicology results, are ongoing. Evidence at the scene indicated alcoholic beverages could be a contributing factor in the crash.
