NYSDOT SCHEDULES OPEN HOUSE ABOUT
A RESURFACING PROJECT
March 31th Meeting to Highlight Project on Route 5,
Towns of Camillus and Elbridge, Onondaga County

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) will hold an open house meeting on Thursday, March 31, 2016 regarding a resurfacing project on Route 5 in the towns of Camillus and Elbridge, Onondaga County. The open house will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the gymnasium at the Camillus Municipal Building, located at 4600 West Genesee Street, Syracuse, NY 13219.
At the meeting, preliminary drawings for the upcoming project will be available for review and representatives from NYSDOT will be present to answer questions. No formal presentation is planned.
Preliminary plans call for milling and resurfacing Route 5 from Hamilton Road to Chamberlin Drive in the town of Elbridge and from Sunview Drive to Route 174 in the towns of Elbridge and Camillus. In addition, minor drainage, sidewalk and safety improvements will take place at various locations within the project areas. Traffic will be maintained during construction, with flaggers when necessary. Access to driveways will be maintained at all times during construction. Work is expected to take place during the 2016 and 2017 construction seasons.
This open house is part of the continuing effort by the Department to encourage public participation in the development of transportation projects.
