Seats Still Available in SBPD Spanish Language Citizens Academy, Classes Start on April 7th

Seats are still available for those interested in attending the Santa Barbara Police Department’s Spanish Language Citizens Academy which will begin on Thursday, April 7, 2016. The Spanish Language Citizens Academy is a great way for Spanish speakers to learn about the Santa Barbara Police Department, police work, and our community. During the eight-week program participants will be exposed to police training, investigative techniques, and technology. They will also have the opportunity to ride-along with officers on patrol.

Classes will be held weekly on Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. until May 26th at Franklin Elementary School, 1111 E. Mason Street. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and there is no cost to participate. Child care is available on site for children ages 3 and up.
