03/28
MVA-D: A caller reported their vehicle rolled while traveling inbound on the Richardson Hwy by Rainbow Apartments. Both occupants were un-injured and the vehicle was removed from the roadway.
Possible Theft: A necklace was reported stolen from a residence. This is currently under investigation.
VID: An officer assisted a motorist whose vehicle had gone into the ditch at MP 4 of the Richardson Hwy.
Welfare Check: A welfare check was requested on an elderly woman whose trash cans had been left out for almost a week. Officers checked on the woman and found she was ok.
Animal at Large: A husky dog was reported at large. An officer brought the dog to the shelter.
Welfare Check: A caller reported a woman standing in the street in a tank top and no shoes. An officer contacted the woman who stated she was going to the post office and didn’t want to wear boots and was not cold.
VID: A vehicle had gone into the ditch at MP 4 on the Richardson Hwy. Passerby’s assisted the motorist out of the ditch before officer arrival.
Civil Problems/Dispute: A caller requested officer’s assistance on evicting a woman from his home.
Bench Warrant Arrest: William Andrew Carmack, DOB: 02/11/1960, of Valdez was arrested on an outstanding $1000.00 Anchorage warrant for failure to comply with Conditions of Probation on an original charge of DV Assault.

Problems with Neighbors: A caller reported an unknown vehicle in their driveway. Dispatch informed the caller since it was on private property, they can request to have the vehicle towed. They wanted to make sure it wasn’t stolen and notify the owner.
Arrested: A report of individuals destroying a home was reported. Upon officer investigation, Darren Paul Mitvitnikoff, DOB: 08/15/1978, of Valdez was arrested for DV Assault 4.

Summons: John Thomas Anthony III, DOB: 05/02/1989, of Valdez was summonsed for Leaving the Scene of a MVA and Reckless Driving.
DUI: A caller reported an impaired woman leaving a school. Officers responded and arrested Therese Marie Salazar, DOB: 04/19/1960, of Valdez for DUI of prescription medications and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Theft of Property: A caller reported a bunch of property was stolen from their residence while they were incarcerated. The individual later called back stating that everything was found in the residence and nothing else appeared to be missing.
Possible Drunk Driver: A caller reported a blue Dodge Dakota swerving all over the road. An officer was able to make contact with the vehicle and found that the individual’s heater had went out and he was having a hard time seeing out his window. No ETOH onboard.
MVA-D: An officer assisted a motorist whose front tire had come off of their truck and it was not operable. A tow truck came and towed the truck away.
Domestic NA: Officers responded to a domestic disturbance. It was determined that it was a verbal disturbance only and nothing physical. The two parties were separated.
Criminal Mischief: A caller reported that their vehicle was damaged while parked in their driveway. This is currently under investigation.
Found Property: A cell phone was found at a local business. Contact the Valdez Police Department with descriptors to claim.
Found Property: A Snowbasin ID was left in the drop box. Claim at the Valdez Police Department.
Domestic Assault/Arrested: A caller reported that her boyfriend had just kicked her and needed officer’s assistance. Upon officer investigation, William Andrew Carmack, DOB: 02/11/1960, of Valdez was arrested for DV Assault 4.
Title 47 ETOH: An intoxicated woman was reported trying to get inside a residence at VMHP. Officers responded and were unable to turn the woman over to a sober responsible party. She was held at the Valdez Jail under a Title 47 hold until she was sober enough to be released.

Public Speaking/Appearance: VPD had a presentation on Cyber Terrorism for Alaska Shield and the Gilson Middle School.
Serve Time: Darren Mitvitnikoff, DOB: 08/15/1978, of Valdez was checked in to serve time. Original charge was DV Assault in the 4th degree.

ETOH Pedestrian: A local business reported a belligerent male causing problems and being mouthy. Officers responded and were unable to locate anyone matching the description.
DUI: Lucien Timothy Rastopsoff, DOB: 09/09/1990, of Copper Center was arrested on the charge of Driving Under the Influence, after providing a BrAC of .200
Assist EMS Crew: An officer responded to assist EMS Crew on a medical call.
Citizens Assist: A caller reported she left her lights on her vehicle and the batter died. An officer assisted her on getting her vehicle started.

Domestic NA: A domestic dispute was reported. Officers responded and determined that no arrest was necessary and both parties were separated.
Assist EMS Crew: Officers responded and assisted EMS Crew on a medical call.
Traffic Complaint: A black Subaru was reported passing lines of cars in no passing zones. Officers were unable to locate a vehicle with that description.
Threat: A caller reported hearing someone yelling threats from behind their home on an adjacent street. Officers investigated and interviewed neighbors who hadn’t heard anyone yelling.
MVA H&R: A motor vehicle hit and run was reported at the airport. This is currently under investigation.
Found Property: A BCA backpack was turned in to the Valdez Police Department. Dispatch was able to locate and make contact with the owner.
