Lafayette-Today at the Lafayette City Building officers from ISP, Lafayette, West Lafayette, Purdue and Tippecanoe County were honored as Top Cop winners for Operating While Intoxicated arrests for 2015.
The award, which is given to officers with at least 20 OWI arrests or the highest arrest numbers for their respective departments, in Tippecanoe County by the Drive Sober, Inc. of Tippecanoe County, is a small token of our appreciation says DSI President Dan Towery. The special guest speakers included Tippecanoe County Prosecutor Pat Harringtont and Sergeant Will Carpenter of the Lafayette Police Department, who is also the “FACT” Team Leader.
Each participant received a plaque recognizing their accomplishment. Each department has a plaque that has past winners and their names will be added as well.
Other winners include from Lafayette PD, Officer Austin Schutter and Jacob Daubenmier, from West Lafayette, officer James Spray, from Purdue PD, Lieutenant Song Kang and from Tippecanoe County, Deputy Alexander Feistel.
