Advisory

Gun Store Commercial Burglary

The Arlington Police Department responded to a commercial alarm in the 800 block of Avenue H East around 3 a.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2016. When officers arrived, they noticed forced entry through a window at the front of the business. Officers made entry to search for possible suspects, however the suspects had already fled the scene with several firearms. Detectives obtained surveillance video from the business which shows several suspects enter the business and take a variety of firearms consisting of handguns and rifles. Over 50 weapons ended up being reported stolen. It appears the suspects fled the scene in a black Ford F-350 pickup truck based upon a witness at a neighboring business.

Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms were notified and made the scene as well. Investigators are asking the public to review the surveillance video and provide tips to get these suspects into custody and recover these weapons. Anyone with information is asked to contact Arlington Police Detective Perdue at 817-459-6487. Tipsters can also remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward by contacting Tarrant County Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS.
