Versailles Trooper Honored at Awards Ceremony
Indianapolis-On Friday, April 15, a trooper from the Indiana State Police-Versailles District was honored at an awards center at the Indiana Government Center in Indianapolis. During the ceremony, over 50 troopers and civilian employees of the Indiana State Police were honored for their service to the people of the State of Indiana.
Indiana State Police Superintendent Douglas G. Carter presented Trooper Korry Clark with an award after being named the 2015 “Trooper of the District” for the Versailles Post as well as an award for leading the district in DUI arrests last year. Trp. Clark was additionally given an award for being one of the top five troopers in the state in DUI arrests last year.
Trp. Clark was given the “Trooper of the District” award for outstanding efforts in traffic and criminal enforcement, crash investigations, community service, and for exemplifying the integrity, service, and professionalism of an Indiana State Trooper. Lieutenant Raymond Otter, Versailles District Commander, selected Trp. Clark to receive the award based on his exceptional performance during 2015.
During 2015, Trp. Clark issued over 800 citations and 500 warnings. Trp. Clark had 93 criminal arrests and conducted over 200 police services. Trp. Clark’s 55 DUI arrests led the Versailles District and earned him the “Top 5” award for being fifth in the state in the number of impaired drivers arrested last year.
Trp. Clark is a seven year veteran of the Indiana State Police. He resides in Bartholomew County and patrols zone one, which covers Bartholomew and Jackson Counties.
