Lowell, Lake County-- Indiana State Police Superintendent Doug Carter transferred Trooper Gary Runde Jr. to serve as a detective with Field Investigations at District 13 Lowell Post.
Trooper Detective Runde is a native of East Brunswick, NJ and ten year Army veteran. Detective Runde graduated from the 67th Indiana State Police Recruit Academy Class in 2007. Upon graduation, he was assigned to the Lowell Post where he has been assigned Lake County patrol. Detective Runde is a member of the Tactical Intervention Platoon as well as the Meth Suppression Team.
Trooper Detective Runde resides in Portage with his wife and family.
