LAKE LURE POLICE DEPARTMENT will be at Ingles in Lake Lure overseeing the Operation Pill Drop put on by United Way. This event is to allow those who have expired prescription drugs and/or drugs that are no longer used, to go into a safe box for a safe removal and not one that would harm our waterways or others, which happens when you flush or wash prescription drugs down a drain or by disposing of them in trash receptacles where they can get into the wrong hands.
Officers will be at Ingles on Highway 9 in Lake Lure from 10am to 4pm Saturday April 30, 2016
Lake Lure Police also want you to know there is also a Pill Drop Box at the police department located at 2950 Memorial Hwy, Lake Lure, and is available for you to dispose of unused/unneeded drugs Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Call 828-625-4911 for more information.
