Strong and fast moving storms will develop across the area this afternoon and this evening. Be prepared for severe weather that may include torrential rain and flooding, lightening, high winds, damaging hail and tornadoes. Be prepared to receive weather warnings from multiple sources. Do not rely on outdoor storm sirens for notification. Listen to KCLY 100.9 FM for updated conditions and instructions. Also have other ways of receiving weather warnings. Be prepared to move quickly to safety and make sure all of your family knows your plan. Consider moving your pets into your safe area early so you do not need to move them when the warning is issued. Should damage occur to your home, do not call 911 unless you need immediate medical assistance or there is fire present, gas leaking or other serious emergency. Please do not call 911 or other administrative.numbers unless you have specific needs for help. Listen to KCLY for other instructions, we will communicate any instructions for reporting damage or where to find shelter to them as soon as possible after the storm passes. Stay home and help your family and neighbors unless you are already affiliated with one of the emergency response or volunteer agencies that will respond to disaster.
