Medication Take Back Day!

The Newton Police Department, Newton Health and Human Services and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration are announcing a “Medication Take Back Day” this Saturday April 30, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The drop off and collection area for this event will be at the Newton Police Department Garage, which is located behind headquarters at 1321 Washington Street, West Newton.
Items accepted include all prescription and over the counter solid dosage medications, i.e., tablets and capsules.
DO NOT BRING: Intravenous solutions, Injectable Drugs or Needles, Illegal Drugs-such as Marijuana or Methamphetamines and Weapons.
Needles may be dropped off at the Rumford Avenue Resource Recovery Center, 115 Rumford Avenue, Auburndale, Mass., Monday-Saturday, from 7:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Proof of Newton residency required.
Please note: This event is for household disposal only-No businesses are allowed!
