The Livermore Police Department has a message for those planning on enjoying the downtown festivities on Friday night. There will be road closures, so parking in the right areas will be important.

Many of you have noticed the signs downtown advising of the dates and times that downtown access will be restricted by vehicles. By 2:00am on the morning of Saturday, April 30th, 2016, all vehicles should have been moved from the marked zones and our Public Works Department will begin closing off the event areas. At 3:00am our officers will begin ensuring that any remaining vehicles are moved from the marked zones. We would like to avoid towing any vehicles if at all possible. While every attempt will be made to locate owners of vehicles parked in marked zones, if we are unable to identify or locate an owner, the vehicles will have to be towed.

If you choose to enjoy the downtown festivities on the night of Friday, April 29th, please be sure to have your vehicle moved by 2:00am or make alternate arrangements for your travel in and out of downtown.
