Prosecutor's Office & Lebanon Twp Police Release Info on Crash Investigation in Hunterdon
Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, Chief of Detectives John Kuczynski and Lebanon Township Police Chief Chris Mattson have released information regarding an on-going investigation into a one car crash that occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m. on April 30, 2016 in the Township that claimed the life of the sole occupant of the vehicle. Lebanon Township Police responded to the area of Sliker Road for a report of a vehicle overturned on its side. The occupant of the vehicle was reported to be unresponsive at the time of the 911 call.
According to Prosecutor Kearns,an individual who happened upon the accident called 911. Two individuals from Hackettstown Rescue Squad, who also came upon the accident,attempted to render first aid at the scene prior to arrival of emergency crews from Califon Boro,High Bridge and Lebanon Township, as well as paramedics from Hunterdon Medical Center.
Kearns went on to state that the occupant, JOHN OLLERENSHAW, 50,of Glen Gardner, New Jersey,sustained life threatening injuries as a result of the one car crash. OLLERENSHAW was extricated from the vehicle by Lebanon and High Bridge Fire and later pronounced dead.
