You may have experienced low water pressure on the Island last night. Between 10:30 PM and 12:30 AM last night Sullivan's Island water system pressure was significantly reduced. Charleston Water system (CWS) had a main break near Harborview Road. This caused the reduced pressure on the 20" main that supplies the Islands with drinking water. SI staff was called in to put our water Tower on line which pressurized the system overnight while CWS made repairs to their system. At approximately 8:30 Am this morning everything was back to normal system pressures. Normal system pressures on SI average about 75 to 80 PSI.
