Mayfest Festival and Road Closure Information.

Mayfest activities for Saturday, May 6, 2016.
7:30am to 10:00am: Parkview Health Screening at Wolfe Building
8:00am-10:00am: Benefit pancake and sausage breakfast sponsored by Marion Church at the Main Tent.
8:00am: 3-on-3 Basketball
8:15am: Kids Fun Run. Start at the Main Tent.
8:30am: Run Shipshewana 2016 - 5 K Run. Start at Main Tent.
9:00am: Antique & Garden Show at Shipshewana Trading Place Pavilion
10:00am to 11:30am: The Grand Mayfest Parade
11:30am: (After the parade) Shipshewana 500 Buggy Races at the corner of Morton & Main Streets
11:30am(After the parade) Corn Hole Tournament
11:30am: (After the parade) Collectible Cars Cruise-In at Shipshewana Trading Place Pavilion
11:30am to 6:00pm: Face painting
11:45am to 12:30pm: Mousetrap Puppets, Main Tent
12:30pm: Parkview Samaritan Fly-In (subject to weather)

Some activities that will affect vehicle traffic include the Fun and 5K Race and the Mayfest Parade.

The Fun Race and 5K race will start at approximately 8:15 a.m. The route for the race will follow Morton Street north to North Village Drive, and east to Taylor Drive, where it will travel north to Country Lane. The race will then travel west on Country lane to the IU Medical Center parking lot where the racers will turn around and travel back to the starting line using the same route. During this time there will be limited or no access to Morton, Depot, North Village Drive, Taylor Driver, and Country Lane (west).

The Mayfest Parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will travel north from the Shipshewana Flea Market entrance on Morton Street to Main Street. East on Main Street to State Road 5, and south on State Road 5 to the main entrance to the Flea Market. During this time there will be no access to Davis, Curtis, Middlebury, Harrison, and Main Streets.

The streets affected will be opened once the races and parade conclude, with the exception of those holding events throughout the day or where food tents are located. Please plan ahead and seek alternate routes of travel.
