Maricopa Firefighters Local 4561 has completed donation for "Fill the Boot". This is a charity event established for Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) campaign. We are proud of the relationship between MDA and the International Fire Fighters Association (IAFF). All across the United States and Canada, firefighters from all IAFF locals, eagerly collect money for those that are afflicted with Muscular Dystrophy. As the single largest contributor, the IAFF has been doing this for the past 62 years! This partnership of success is due to the people of these organizations unselfishly contributing their time. While these organizations are important, so are the corporations that allow us to utilize their storefronts to solicit funding. Here in the City of Maricopa, we received tremendous support from Fry's Food Store (Kroger). Their generosity over the past eight years, in conjunction with the giving nature of our citizens, portray a strong sense of community. The sum of these actions equates to collecting over $7000.00 this year for MDA. The United Maricopa Firefighters Local 4561 thanks you, the citizens of Maricopa, Fry's Food Stores, and the leaders in the fight against Muscular Dystrophy. There is another major contributing factor and that is the coordinator John Campanaro thanks for all you do.
