On May 8, 2016 at approximately 1:29 p.m., police officers from the Noblesville Police Department responded to the address of 12271 Lindley Drive (Noblesville) in reference to a report of a person shot. Officers arrived on the scene a short time later and began to investigate.

Upon arriving on the scene, officers entered the residence and located the victim. The victim, later determined to also be the complainant, stated that she had been shot in the leg by an unknown intruder. Officers provided immediate care to what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to the leg. Medical personnel arrived moments later and transported the victim to I.U. Health Methodist (Indianapolis) by ground ambulance. The victim’s injury has been characterized as non-life threatening.

The victim has been identified as Diana R. Neville, 36, of Noblesville. Neville was unable to provide police with any description of the suspect(s) in this case. Investigators petitioned for and were subsequently granted a search warrant for the address of 12271 Lindley Drive in order to investigate the scene.

This remains an ongoing investigation.
