Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, Chief of Detectives John J. Kuczynski, and Lebanon Township Police Chief Chris Mattson announced that a joint investigation by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Lebanon Township Police Department has led to the arrest of one individual on child pornography charges.
According to Prosecutor Kearns, “Detectives from Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit were contacted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children through the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) with information regarding Mr. Yourth. After further investigation, the defendant was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Possession of Child Pornography), and Observation of A Person’s Intimate Body Parts (Invasion of Privacy), both third degree crimes.
The Honorable Angela F. Borkowski, J.S.C. set bail on the defendant at $50,000. This investigation is ongoing and anyone with additional information is requested to contact the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit at 908-788-1129.
Prosecutor Kearns added, “The exploitation of children on the Internet is a serious matter, our Special Victims Unit is dedicated to investigating and prosecuting those involved in such acts.
”The filing of a criminal complaint is merely a step in the criminal justice process. The defendant is presumed innocent until the matter is resolved in a court of law.
