RMY Construction, Inc., the Board of Water Supply’s (BWS) contractor for the water system improvement project on Pensacola Street is continuing their work to install a new water main. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and to expect delays due to the following traffic modifications beginning Monday, May 16:
• Closure of the three far right lanes of Pensacola Street between South King Street and Young Street. The Pensacola Street driveway for the Kaiser Honolulu Clinic will be accessible to patients.
Lane closures will occur Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Work in this area will continue until further notice.
The renewal of the water system will improve fire protection and water service reliability for residents and businesses in the area. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes during construction hours, if possible, and to allow for additional travel time. Drivers that must travel through the work area are asked to please abide by posted traffic signs.
