Press Release: NPD #1600-1917 Theft Investigation & Arrest (900 block of Maple Avenue, Noblesville) 5.14.16
On May 14, 2016 at approximately 12:06 a.m., police officers from the Noblesville Police Department responded to the 900 block of Maple Avenue in response to a report of a suspicious subject possibly breaking into vehicles. Officers arrived on the scene a short time later and began to investigate.
Initial information from the caller alleges that a subject had been observed walking around in the area trying to open doors on parked vehicles. The subject was described as a male, 6’ 00’ tall, approximately 180 lbs., wearing a red/orange hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and a ball cap.
Officers began to search the area for the subject by utilizing motor and foot patrols. At approximately 12:20 a.m., officers on foot patrol located an individual matching the description of the subject in the 900 block of Hannibal Street. Officers indicated that the subject was partially inside a 2008 Jeep Wrangler when they attempted to make contact with him. Officers reported that a short foot chase ensued before the subject was taken into custody.
The subject was later transported by ambulance to Riverview Health (Noblesville) where he was treated for injuries sustained during the arrest process. He was later released and transported to the Hamilton County Jail and booked on a number of preliminary charges.

This remains an ongoing investigation.
