PORTSMOUTH POLICE NEED ASSISTANCE LOCATING MISSING FEMALE
Detectives with the Portsmouth Police Department Special Victims Unit are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing woman. According to detectives, 57 year-old Phyllis F. Askew was last seen on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at her home in the 1700 block of Richmond Avenue. Detectives are very concerned for Ms. Askew’s well being because she suffers from a medical condition that requires medication, which she does not have with her.
Phyllis Askew is described as a black female with afro style hair that was just dyed blonde and brown eyes. Ms. Askew was last seen wearing blue jeans, a pink sweater with a white t-shirt underneath, and carrying a walking cane.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Phyllis Askew is asked to call the Portsmouth Police Department at (757) 393-5300 or the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP℠. As always, callers who call the crime line are never asked to give their name or testify in court. If their information leads to an arrest, the recovery of drugs or stolen property they could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000.
