*Update*#LASD Homicide Dets Respond,400 Blk of Caldwell St., Compton to Investigate,Shooting Death of Man @EastLALASD
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at approximately 5:18 pm, in the 400 block of West Caldwell Street, Compton.
Detectives have learned that Compton Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to the location regarding an “Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Gunshot victim” call. When deputies arrived, they found a male (Black, approximately 26 year-old) victim lying in the middle of the street.
The victim was apparently riding his bike on Caldwell Street when unknown person(s) shot him multiple times in the torso.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
There is no suspect information available at this time.
There is no additional information at this time and the investigation is still on-going.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
