GCSO & Christian County Sheriff's Office conducted DWI Checkpoint over the weekend, checking 919 vehicles 
Greene County Sheriff Jim Arnott announces results from DWI Checkpoint
On Friday, May 13, 2016, the Greene County Sheriff's Office and Christian County Sheriff's Department conducted a DWI checkpoint in the area of South Campbell Avenue and West Farm Road 192.
A total of 919 vehicles were checked during this operation resulting in:
10 - arrests for Driving While Intoxicated
6 - arrests for Drug related offenses
6 - arrests for No Valid Driver's License
3 - arrests for Possession of Marijuana
3 - arrests for Driving While License Revoked
1 - arrest for Driving While License Suspended
1 - arrest for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
1 - arrest for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm & Possession of a Controlled Substance/Marijuana
"If we can remove one impaired driver from operating their vehicle, which may potentially place innocent lives at risk or make someone think twice about driving while intoxicated, then we have succeeded at making our community a little safer," states Sheriff Jim Arnott. This Missouri Department of Transportation funded enforcement effort aids in awareness and proactively combats impaired driving.
