Agency Assist: AST Glennallen requested assistance to locate an individual who went into the ditch between Glennallen and Valdez.
Arrest Warrant: Angelo Bruce Kim, DOB: 08/12/1960, of Juneau was arrested on an Anchorage arrest warrant for Assault – Reckless Physical Injury. He was released on an unsecured bond for $2500.
Oil Spill: A teaspoon of oil was reported spilled in the harbor. The oil was cleaned up without incident.
Events deemed Unsafe: Three children were reported playing in the street in a dangerous area where they could possibly get hit by a car. An officer patrolled the area and was unable to locate any children in danger.
Animal at Large: A Rotweiller was reported running loose around Jago/Iditarod Streets. Officers contacted the RO and issued a warning.
ATV: A caller reported two 4-wheelers tearing it up on the protected park area by the bridge-to-nowhere. Officers contacted the individual who claimed they had asked where they’re allowed to ride. The officer advised them they were not allowed to ride on the parks area.

MVA-D: An individual who had gone to the hospital for treatment reported that they were in an accident at MP 45.
Harassment: An individual reported sexual harassment. This case is under investigation.
Public Speaking/Appearance: VPD conducted an ALICE presentation at a local business.

Traffic Hazard: A caller reported a trailer being towed outbound on the Richardson Hwy had construction material, glass, and other hazardous material shedding debris along the highway. Officers were unable to locate any trailer of that description.
Serve Time: John Thomas Anthony III, dob 05/02/1989, of Valdez turned himself into the Valdez Jail to serve 5 days for charges of Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Reckless Driving.
Welfare Check: An individual was unable to locate their child. The family later found the child on the bike path walking home to Robe River Subdivision.
Events deemed Unsafe: A caller reported that one of the construction signs had fallen over and was impeding traffic. A Good Samaritan had already picked up the sign prior to officer arrival.

Animal Impound: A caller reported an aggressive pit bull was running loose and was in their yard. The dog was located and impounded.
Animal Neglect: A concerned caller reported a dog was living in a vehicle and suspected the dog was being starved. The ACO spoke with the RO of the dog who stated the dog is only in the vehicle when they were not home due to it chewing furniture.

Agency Assistance: VPD assisted AST Glennallen on serving a citation.
Reckless Driving: A caller reported a white chevy pickup driving recklessly and speeding. An officer located the vehicle and issued them a verbal warning for reckless driving.
Reckless Driving: A tan Toyota pickup with a camper on the back sped through the construction zone. Officers were unable to locate a vehicle of that description.
Animal at Large: A Doberman who appeared injured was running loose around Foraker St. Officers were unable to locate the dog in the area.
Assist EMS Crew: Officers assisted EMS with a medical call.
Camping: A caller reported vehicles left a campfire by the river at Mineral Creek Canyon. An officer put the fire out.

Assist EMS Crew: Officers assisted EMS with a medical call.
Parking: VPD has received anonymous complaints of vehicles parking on N. Harbor Drive beyond the allowed time limit. Please park in designated long term parking areas.
Animal Info: VPD received a report of a red truck on the side of the road by Old Town that had a dog inside of it. Caller was concerned because of the weather getting warmer. The truck had left prior to officer arrival.
Found Property: Some bear spray in a case was turned in to the police department. Please claim at VPD.
Found Property: An iPhone was turned into the police department. Call or stop by the VPD with descriptors to claim.
Animal DOA: A deceased dog was found wrapped in a blanket in a creek by Robe River. Follow-up investigation will be completed by the ACO.
Animal Aggression: A caller reported while their child was walking their dog, two dogs ran and attacked the dog on a leash. Officers contacted the RO of the dogs. Follow-up investigation will be completed by the ACO.
Animal at Large: Two dogs were reported escaping out of the window of a residence. Officers made contacted with the RO and got the dogs home.

Disturbance: At approx 0110 hrs a caller reported someone had rang his doorbell and took off. Suspected kids playing “Ding dong ditch”. Officers patrolled the area of the neighborhood and didn’t see anyone.
Welfare Check: A caller reported an intoxicated individual walking alongside the Richardson Hwy. Officers made contact with the individual and arrested Peter Brusky, DOB: 08/02/1954, for violating conditions of probation.
Animal Impound: Two dogs were impounded at the animal shelter.
Await Trial: Will Wardlaw, DOB: 11/08/1981, of Valdez was transported to the Valdez Jail awaiting trial. Original charges were DUI and Driving While License Revoked.
Assist EMS Crew: Officers assisted EMS with a medical call.
Strange Activity: A caller reported a backhoe had its emergency lights flashing. There was no one in the area and seemed suspicious. An officer patrolled the area, turned the blinker off, and secured the backhoe.
