On Friday, May 20, 2016 from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office will be at the Woodstock Dunkin Donuts on Route 47 to raise funds for Special Olympics Illinois during the “COP on Rooftop” event. Sheriff’s Deputies, Corrections Officers, and other employees will be at the Dunkin Donut’s front door and drive through collecting donations from patrons to support Special Olympics. Those who donate Friday will be given a coupon for a free coffee or donut by Dunkin Donuts for their next visit. The 2016 Special Olympics Illinois T-shirts and hats will also be available for purchase at Dunkin Donuts during the “Cop on Rooftop” event.
100% of all donations benefit the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois directly. The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office will be joining other local law enforcement throughout McHenry County and the State of Illinois in this effort on Friday. According to Special Olympics Illinois, a record 234 locations will be participating together for the Friday “COP on Rooftop” event.
