Maricopa fire crews responded to reports of a structure approximately 10:00 pm, in the 19000 block of Stonegate. When crews arrived on scene they assisted the residents out of the house. The crews found that there was a fire located on the side of the house. This caused a small portion of the house to catch on fire. Crews were able to get control of the fire before any further damages could be done. No injuries to report.

The Maricopa Fire Department would like to remind everyone when grilling outdoors make sure that there is a hose or extinguisher available while utilizing a grill. If it is a charcoal grill make sure that all charcoal is completely out. Never put any charcoal in the recycling or trash bins. Be safe this summer and enjoy those BBQ days.
