One Arrest in Brazil Battery Investigation
Clay County—Investigators from the Indiana State Police, Clay County Sheriff’s Office, and Brazil Police Department have arrested a Brazil man in relation to the ongoing investigation at 990 North Depot Street in Brazil.
Arrested: Tristan Williamson, age 19, Brazil, IN.
Preliminary Charge: One Count of Criminal Recklessness (felony)
Held in Clay County Jail
The original call into Clay County 911 at 9:10 this morning, indicated a possible body was located in a detached garage at 990 North Depot Street. Brazil City police officers arrived and located 78-year-old William Miller, of Brazil, IN. lying on the garage floor appearing to suffer from trauma. Miller was transported to St. Vincent Clay Hospital with serious injuries and is still undergoing treatment.
The investigation is continuing and there is the potential for more arrests. When and if that happens, the information will be released. At this time, nothing else will be disclosed.
Also assisting was the Clay County Prosecutor’s Office.
Under the Law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
