Greene County Detectives conducting death investigation of 55-year old female
Early Saturday morning, 05/21/16, Greene County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a home located in the 2700 block of North Farm Road 137 in northern Greene County after a male called 9-1-1 requesting assistance for a family member with severe injuries. 55-year old Dena Woodson was transported to a local hospital where she later died.
On Monday morning, 05/23/16, GCSO Detectives attended the autopsy conducted by the Greene County Medical Examiner. At this time, the injuries Mrs. Woodson sustained appear to be self-inflicted. Official cause of death is pending results from toxicology tests. The investigation of Mrs. Woodson's death is still on-going.
