The Alameda County Fire Department (ACFD) will be conducting a training burn on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Camp Parks in Dublin. The training exercise will take place between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM, and will be burned in small, low fire-intensity sections. In total, the burn will be approximately 100 acres.
Training burns are carefully planned and must meet strict criteria of fuel conditions, weather parameters, smoke management and fire safety guidelines. This area is susceptible to rapidly moving fires in the summer and early fall, and the training burn will increase the defensible space for residents in the area and Camp Parks.
